WELCOMES YOU AND YOUR BABY!

The Board of Directors of the YMCA of McDonough County would like to invite your child, infants to 3 years, to be a member of the YMCA of McDonough County with our compliments.
Along with the free membership the baby will be eligible for one free class session and a free YMCA First Class Baby T-Shirt.

Additionally, in order to provide a total fitness plus educational package, the YMCA is teaming up with the McDonough District Hospital, the McDonough County Health Department, Early Head Start, Early Beginnings, and WIC to provide an educational aspect to the program.
Parents may attend one of the parenting classes sponsored by supporting agencies and will receive certification which may be redeemed at the YMCA for another free class session with a limit of one per child per year. You will, however, get one free class session when you come in to sign up for the First Class Baby membership!

First Class Baby membership entitles the Parent and Child to sign up for a choice of three classes. The 1st class session is free and additional class sessions are at the discounted member rate.

Parent Tot Splash

The YMCA offers a Parent Tot Splash Class for 6 months up to 3 years old. This water adjustment class is a fantastic way to introduce swimming and water fun to your child. Games, songs, rhymes, and other fun activities are used throughout the class while children bond with their parents and socialize with other children. Parents expose their child to developmentally appropriate movements in the water.

Fees: TTH $33     SAT. $22

Rumble Tumble Gymnastics
Once children are walking they may begin taking the Rumble Tumble Gymnastics class. Everything you’re not supposed to do at home, you get to do at the gymnastics center! It’s jumping, running, cartwheels, trampoline, and forward rolls. …It’s their (the parents) perfect excuse to become a kid again! Integrated into the fun and games of the gymnastics classes we also begin learning numbers, colors, shapes, and sizes.

This class is offered once a week on Saturday morning.

Shape, Rattle and Roll

The newest program, Shape, Rattle, and Role is a parent and child exercise workshop where the parent(s) workout with their baby in attendance. This is an easy way for parents to work out while bonding with their babies. Research indicates that babies who participate in an exercise class generally have a better appetite, sleep more soundly, and can experience greater motor skill development. The baby must be between six weeks old up to walking age.

Fee: $24.00
